A philosopher, poet, writer, and artist.
A virtual combat pilot, submariner, and sniper.
A deep-sea diver, world traveler, guru, and mentor.
Most importantly, . . . . . . . a friend.
Lionman has been a part of Grey Guard since our formation,
and a friend to most of us for longer than that.
We would not ( nor will we ever ) be the same without him.

We have gathered here today to say farewell
to our friend,
our brother,
and our clanmate Ian.
Ian left this life a short time ago,
never to fly the virtual skies,
never to sail the virtual seas,
nor walk the virtual battlefields
which he loved, again.
From water all life arises.
Mother of waters, father of rain,
you have taken back your own.
As a stream flows into a river,
and as a river flows into the sea,
may Ian's spirit flow to the waters of healing
and to the waters of rebirth.
We who have gathered here
commit the virtual earthly remains
of our friend, our clanmate,
Ian Macdonald-Munro ... Lionman ...
to the virtual deep.
May he rest in peace.
